Spaces available for football tournament

THE Vale Centre in Greysteel will kick off their annual five-a-side soccer tournament on Saturday, July 3, at 10am.

It's the 10th anniversary of the tournament and is restricted to Junior players only.

The action will take place throughout the day with 32 teams competing to win. Each team will consist of 5 players and 2 subs. The teams will be split into 8 groups of 4 with the winners of each group going through into the quarter finals. The winner of each group game will receive 3 points, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss.

Cups and trophies will include the Winners cup and 500, runners up 250. Prize money sponsored by Nicholl Fuels, Evergreen Lawns, & M&D Services.

Also up for grabs will be the Player of the Tournament Trophy, Fair Play Cup and Top Goal Scorer Trophy. The day is now the biggest event in the Vale Centre calendar and its getting bigger and better every year.

For a registration form please contact the Vale Centre on 71812253. The closing date for registration is this afternoon (Wednesday) and the draws will take place on Monday, June 28, at 6.30pm in the Vale Centre.
