Football is not the only sport currently capturing the attention of Portstewart’s young people. Tennis has become a firm favourite as well.

And, while the Youth Club may not be able to offer Strawberries and cream, or guarantee an appearance on Wimbledon’s famous Centre Court, they will be offering coaching sessions to young enthusiasts’ during the month of June.

To be the best at any sport requires patience, practice, determination, sportsmanship and self- discipline, and while individual skills are a valuable asset to possess; all team sports require team players.

Portstewart Young Vision provides a variety of activities, and is open to all young people from the town aged 8 to 18 years. The club meets on Wednesday nights at the Warren Pavilion in Old Coach Road, and new members are welcome.
