Saturday saw Springwell runners grace four different parkrun locations with several PBs' including Kay Hack at Limavady, Deborah Gilliland at Ormeau, Stephen Fillis and Jim Blee at Portrush.

Although the temperatures were much milder this week and the low tide enabled a beach start and finish at Portrush, there were still stretches of softish sand and a very stiff headwind on the return leg, despite which many runners recorded pretty fast times.

There were 137 runners, of whom 18 were first timers and 25 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 9 different athletics clubs took part.

Springwell runners filled the first two positions with the rapid Steven McAlary in 1st , in 17.46 and Stephen Fillis shortly after in a fine PB of 19:14.

First lady was our own multi-talented Sonia Knox in 20.34, followed by N.I. International representative Karen Alexander of the Acorns Running Club, so quite a star studded field in the Ladies side!
