Springwell tackle Larne Half Marathon

Cambridge University Captain, Robin Brown, making his debut at this distance led the field home in 1:12:33 and Letterkenny’s Maria McCambridge was a comfortable winner in the ladies race in 1:18:56.

Bryan Edgar was the first Springwell Runner home in 1:21:36 (2nd MO45) followed by Philip Mullan 1:26:54, Jim Breen 1:27:00 (1st MO55), Dave Sexton 1:27:17, Hugh Boyle 1:27:21(2nd MO55), Johnny Wilson 1:29:48, Chris Capper 1:35:05 (PB), Alan McKeeman 1:39:44, Robert Workman 1:43:08, Pamela McGlade 1:44:13, Philip Given 1:44:17, David Gault 1:55:18 and Betty Deighan, completing her first half marathon in 1:57:19.

Next up for the club will be the Omagh Half Marathon on Saturday, for some this will be their second half marathon in a week.

The club is also helping organise the University 5K Challenge on Wednesday, April14 so this will be a good opportunity to get a bit of speed in the legs.

There will also be a 1K race for the under 12’s before the main race at 7.00pm.
