Squash club crowned Division Two champs

BANBRIDGE Squash Club had a successful year, winning the Ulster Squash League Division Two.

The team, consisting of Norman Robb (captain), Richard Fitzpatrick, Connor McCarten, Dean Dodunski, Cliff McElory and Denis Mitchell played 22 games, losing only once.

The team won the league by an impressive 249 points to the second placed team’s tally of 202 points.

The team will play in Division One next season.

The club, for the first time, will be entering a team in the masters division. Two new captains have been selected, namely Richard Fitzpatrick for the A team and Greg Greene for the Masters team.

It is hoped the club will build on this and new players will join with the prospect of getting a team in Division Three, gaining new players experience at league squash.
