Gareth Smylie pointed from the throw-in to once again bring the sides level. Back came Antrim and only for a brilliant save from Joseph Magee a certain goal was on. The Glenavy full back line of Cameron Finn, Senan Magennis; and Thomas Burns were clearing their lines. James Gallagher added a point from play and Conaire Shannon pointed a free to leave two between the sides. If St.Joseph's thought they had the game won their opposite numbers had other ideas when with two points once again the sides were level. Halfbacks Ciaran Loney, Steven Nelson and Daniel Kearney were putting great ball into Jonathan Phillips, Gareth Smylie and Conaire Shannon in the half-forward line. James Gallagher added a point and when Gareth Smylie scored it looked good for the locals. Tom Kearney and Edward Nelson were brilliant at midfield and got a lot of ball into full-forwards James Gallagher, Fergal Green and Eanan McGarry who made good use of the possession. Jack McKavanagh and Conaire Shannon put the icing on the cake with the last two point to leave the full time score 3.11 to 2.08 in Glenavy's favour.

This was a great team effort and the side fully deserved their win but must keep focused against St.Enda's in the final.
