St Paul's in final

ST Paul's under 14s met Belleek in the all county semi-final at Granemore on Sunday evening.

It was a match that the Lurgan lads controlled from start to finish and every player deserves the highest praise. It was St Paul’s who were hungrier and more fired up for the match.

A special mention must go to C. Dummigan, C. Jordan, S. Haddock, D. McCorry, J. Douglas, A. Rogers, T. Farquhar and K. Cooney for great performances while the back line led by C. Dummigan, J. McAreavey and C. Boyle along with D. Magee and D. Haughey kept the Belleek men scoreless the entire match.

St Paul’s had too much power going forward and their defence was mean and hard working throughout the game.

Ruairi Conway kept his second clean sheet between the posts in as many matches, handling with ease any ball that managed to slip past his defenders regardless of rain or pressure from attackers.

St Paul’s unbeaten run continues and going by this performance things look good for the final where they will face their toughest challenge yet.

Scorers for St Paul’s: D. McCorry, S. Haddock, T. Farquhar, J. Douglas, C. Jordan, A. Rogers, K. Cooney, C. Dummigan and P. McConville.

Subs: J. Fitzsimmons, M. Agnew, R. O’Neill, R. Blevins and P. McConville.
