The Whites, it could be claimed, came through the hard part of the draw which included wins over local rivals Eire Og and Clan na Gael, the win over the Ogs came following a replay and the North Street men ran out comfortable winners second time around. The Freecrow lads however showed that they meant business in the semi-final beating the Clans who hadn’t lost a game in the Reserve Championship for three seasons.

St. Peter’s are currently managed by Christopher Toman, Keith Totten and Shane Ginesi who said, “We know we will have to be at our best to beat Silverbridge in the final,.

“All of this is an added boost for the club, so hopefully things will work out on the night.”

Shane continued, “The lads have shown a lot of commitment over the entire season and hopefully we can bring the cup back to the club next Wednesday night.”

With the influential David Wilson spearheading the Whites attack the North Street side will have a decent chance of success in the final.

It is unclear whether or not Ruairi McDonald will be on Milk Cup duty, but there remains a lot of youthful vigour in the side with players like Conor McCormack, Conor McConville, Alex McCabe and from brothers Lee and Niall Cush, no doubt Whites senior players which include Ryan Kelly, Conor Clarke, Ciaran McCavigan and Owen McCormack will all have a big say on the night.

Although Paul Wilson will be eligible to play in goals the keepers jersey on the day will be worn by James Magill. This St. Peter’s side would appear to be laden with talent but Shane Ginesi says it will take a big effort to lift the trophy. “If we put in a big shift in the final we can do well. The management has a lot of confidence in all of the players.”
