Start of the season for underage sides

THE U11s will kick off their league campaign this weekend against Midway 'B' at 11.15am and then play Rathfriland in the derby game at 11.45am.

Manager Alan Wilson will be looking for a good start to the season and has been working hard with the kids on the training ground in preparation for the opening weekend in the Carnbane League.

Also in the league this season with Slane are Windmill Stars, Barcroft, Brookvale, Creggan Rovers, Camlough Rovers, Damolly Cubs, Damolly Colts, Midway 'A', Lisdrum, Midway 'B', Valley Rangers and Rathfriland.

This weekend will also see the U13s kick off their season in the Carnbane League, Newry. Also in the league the Slane will come up against Ashgrove Rovers, Midway 'B', Camlough Rovers, Rathfriland, Lisdrum, Midway 'A', Tullyvallen, Valley Rangers, Damolly and Brookvale.

Managers, Fenella Lamont and Rodney Clydesdale, are both looking forward to the new season and

have been training their squad for the opening weekend.

All players must have their ID cards with them to the games or they will not be permitted to play.

U16s opening league fixtures: Saturday 11th September away against Dromore; Saturday 18th September away against Craigavon; Saturday 25th September away against Valley Rangers.

U15s opening league fixtures: Saturday 11th September away against Coleraine; Saturday 18th September home against Lisdrum; Saturday 25th September home against Magherafelt Sky Blues.
