Steede aims for fourth Twin Peaks success
Steede was the first man to lift the treble and his Ballymena Runners Club has lifted the trophny 10 times in the event’s 14 year history.
Now the hottest of favourites, Steede should still face stiff opposition from his colleague and another event specialist Alec Brennan - himself a double winner.

Former Glens Runner Emmet McAlister, now wearing Ballymena’s black vest, finished third and fourth in the last two years and could upset the applecart.
Local hopes rest with Declan McBride, former youth international Conor Reid and a clutch of up and coming prospects, the best of which are David Higgins, Josh McKeown, Paul Donnelly and Conor McNeill.
Last year Susan O’Boyle was the best of the local ladies but hopes are high that young Suzannah Brown can maybe even carry off the top ladies’ prize.
