Steven at the double
Former Hilden bowler, Steven Kirkwood, now with Old Bleach, picked up double success at the Private Greens Championships.
He had a really tough battle in the final of the youth singles before beating R. Cavan, Pickie, 21-20.
It was a little easier in the under-25 singles final when he won 21-16 against under-25 international, S. Shields, Ballymena.
He won the Irish youth singles last year and will this time attempt a double Irish success at the Irish finals on September 5 and 6 at Carrickfergus.
