Even Frank Cunningham, from Rock, who won an all-Lisburn final 12-6 could not have been more delighted with his own success, when Stevie, a well-known figure in Lisburn bowls, celebrated his achievement.

A good performance by both Lisburn players in the prestigious event. Cunningham had earlier beaten J. Robinson 9-8 and Mulholland won 9-3 against C. McCrossan.
