The local man has the backing of the UK’s top MMA training camp – and after he sees off the challenge of Miguel Haro at On Top 6 in Glasgow, he hopes to climb the British rankings.

Stringer, 25, is based at Team Kaobon in Liverpool, but hails from Lisburn.

With a professional record of 11 wins and 8 losses, the feared striker feels he in the most important year of his career.

He aims to see off Frenchman Haro at the Play Drome in Clydebank at On Top 6 before putting together a run of wins that will see him climb the UK lightweight rankings.

Chris said: “Training is going great as usual. I know nothing about Miguel except that he has won a few fights by armbar.

“The key to victory is to keep calm, follow my corner’s advice and adapt to changes in the fight.”
