This highly-impressive performance took them through into the eliminators for the Premier Trophy competition, the U-13 Cup, where the opposition became even more intense.

In the cup eliminators, Carrick narrowly lost their opening game 1-0 to Pegasus and then drew 1-1 with Rainey. During the afternoon, Carrick’s goals were scored by Ellie Finlay (two), Caitlin Clarke (two), Nicole Crossan, and Sarah Robinson.

After the tournament, Carrick coach Kelly Waide enthused about her highly promising young players, their inspirational captain Ellie Kirk, and the excellent support from the sidelines.

“The girls were just fantastic today and I’m super, super, proud of them,” she said.
