Success for brother and sister

A BROTHER and sister, who both attend Dalriada School, have achieved success in the equestrian world.

After representing Northern Ireland in 2012 at the Royal Windsor Horse Show, Kathie Woodrow, a year 12 pupil at Dalriada School and an active member of the Route Hunt Pony Club, has been selected for the Pony Club Mounted Games Team.

She will travel to Canada in August to compete in an international competition against teams from USA, Canada and Australia.

Kathie’s brother Sam Woodrow, a year 10 pupil, has been selected for the under 14 Northern Ireland Mounted Games Association team which will compete at the European championships in July which are being held in Tattersalls.

Both Kathie and Sam started playing games as juniors in the Route Hunt Pony Club and progressed to the senior team that competed at the Zones in 2011 and 2012 after their success at the Northern Ireland Area competition they would like to thank their trainer Simpson McKay for all his hard work and the Route Hunt Pony Club for getting them to the level they are now.
