Success for Greer at Gracehill

On Saturday 6th April in division 1 Neilly Greer playing off 11 won the 1st Monthly Medal of the season with an astonishing 64 nett.

Neilly produced a round of golf which left everyone else in his shadow - with only 2 dropped shots over the front 9.

Neilly continued his excellent form throughout the back 9, the highlights of which were birdies at the 12th and 15th.

Randal McDonnell played off 6 was 2nd with a 70. Randal had a strange round for him, which included, 4 double bogeys but he was able to offset them with 5 birdies.

Neil Bennett (11) was 3rd with a 71. In division 2 Mickey Connor playing off 25 continued his winning ways taking 1st place with a 69. Mickey’s card was certainly full of light and shade but there was enough good golf to counteract the odd bit of misfortune.

Drew Cochrane playing off 25 was 2nd with a 69 but was beaten on countback. Drew unfortunately has a couple of mishaps towards the end of his round but is obviously going well and will be in contention again. Trevor Kane (20) was 3rd with a 72.

On Sunday 7th April in the Sunday Sweep Adrian McFarland playing off 22 was victorious on Sunday with 39pts.

Adrian got off to a great start and was 1 under after 3 holes; even a few hiccups along the way didn’t deter him as he finished strongly.

Eoin Sayers playing off 14 continued his fine form and was 2nd with 38pts.

With two halves of 19pts his superior back 9 was enough to relegate Gary Byers (21) into 3rd place after being beaten on countback. Robert McNeill added another gross prize to his collection with a 76.
