Success for Mid-Ulster Ladies underage teams

Mid-Ulster Ladies had teams competing in IFA Winter Futsal League for the last five weeks, U13s in non-competitive section playing Crusaders, Foyle, Glentoran, St Marys and Ballymena, while U15s were unbeaten.

They defeated Crusaders, Foyle, St Oliver Plunketts, and Bangor along the way.

A draw with Cliftonville meant that the league was decided by a penalty shoot-out, in which the girls held their nerve to win even though regular goalkeeper Megan Ferson was missing due to injury.

The team included Jessica Magee, Casey Howe, Eimear McGarrity, Annie O’Neill and Sharagh Murphy. Also not available in the shoot-out was Erin Henry.

Senior training for the entire squad has started again on Mondays at MUSA at 7.30pm, with the first pre-season friendly set for Monday at MUSA 7.30pm v Comber Rec.
