The event attracted over 240 competitors from all over the UK, Ireland, Gibraltar, Switzerland and India.

Players undertook extensive preparation in the weeks leading up to the competition, training both in their own clubs and at additional sessions led by NI chief instructor master Glen Culbert. All this hard work paid off and team NI enjoyed great success, coming away with the trophy for best team with a total of 12 gold, 15 silver and 20 bronze medals. Special mention must go to Jodie McKew of Maghaberry Taekwondo Club who won gold medals in all 3 of her events.

Both clubs would like to thank Sport Lisburn for their continuing support, without which the players would be unable to gain such valuable competition experience.
