Struggling from the first whistle, Garvey Seconds showed no mercy on a very weak Service team and goals from Philip Stirling [2], Daniel Nelson, Robert Cumins, Andy Allen and Paddy McClean saw them out sight at 6-0 at the half time interval.

Civil Service suffered further problems when they lost another player to take them down to just nine and although Garvey took their foot off the pedal in the second 35 minutes they still were able to score five more goals in somewhat embarrassing match. The goals were scored by Stirling, Nelson [2], McClean and John Gray to complete one of the easiest wins the Seconds have ever had in Junior 1.

Garvey Thirds, well short of a full complement, travelled to Kilkeel and for 35 minutes competed with the home side being just a single goal adrift at the interval but gradually Kilkeel took total control of the game and slotted in three goals in a one sided second half to leave the 3rds struggling to a 4-0 defeat.
