Super show from Garvey Seconds

Garvey Seconds continued their good run of results with a 5-1 win over North Down Seconds at Comber Road.

They have been scoring a lot of goals in their last three games and on Saturday they were quickly into their stride with an early goal from Glenn Whitten but North Down replied immediately with a well worked equaliser.

However, that was the end of the visitors as a scoring force as John Gray put the Seconds back into the lead with a very good effort. Two goals to one remained the score at the half time break but Garvey were sharply out of the blocks with a second goal from John Gray and from that point, Garvey were well on top.

They added two more goals from the recently returned Graham Bittle and the Seconds ran out more than comfortable winners by 5 goals to 1. The result takes the Seconds into second place in Junior 1 behind an unbeaten Annadale Seconds.
