Supporters Club AGM
THE Down Supporters Club will holding their Annual General Meeting in the Canal Court Hotel on Thursday October 28.
The meeting will start at 8pm in the Clanrye Suite and it would be hoped that as many Down supporters as possible would attend.
Guests of honour will be handballer and Saval star Lorraine Havern who is the current All Ireland Intermediate Handball champion; Barney Carr manager of the 1960 and 1961 All-Ireland winning Down team; Down 1960 winning captain Kevin Mussen; Paddy Doherty, captain of the 1961 All-Ireland winning Down team; and this year’s Down All-Star winners, Martin Clarke, Danny Hughes, Brendan McVeigh and Brendan Coulter.
The club would encourage new members from East and South Down to come along.
