Swan calls for more North Antrim Milk Cup matches

Mr Robin Swann, the North Antrim Ulster Unionist Party Assembly member and Party Spokesman on Culture, Arts and Leisure, has called on the organisers of the prestigious Milk Cup soccer tournament to stage more matches in the constituency.

Assemblyman Swann, who is also North Antrim UUP Chairman and Party Chief Whip, issued his call as he both thanked and congratulated the Milk Cup organisers “for staging such another great attraction for Northern Ireland”.

He added: “We really need to promote this superbly run and outstandingly professional tournament even further, as it’s a great display of the future talent that lies within youth football worldwide.

“Our constituency has made a terrific contribution to the tournament’s success and popularity and I hope the organisers reward this achievement by staging even more matches within North Antrim.

“When people are watching a Milk Cup match, they could be seeing the Beckham, Best, or Messi of the future!”

Assemblyman Swann also thanked the community for “rallying round and supporting the prestigious competition because of the high-profile games played in the constituency”.
