SATURDAY FEBRUARY 27: What a start Gerry Blevins has made to the 2010 golfing year!

There have been seven Saturday sweeps so far and Gerry has won his section three times.

Jonathan Kerr has also caught the eye with some scintillating play. He shot the best score in this sweep, 38 points, and won the high section for the second time this year.

SECTION 0–11: 1st, Callum McCandless (10) 34 points; 2nd, Keith Steenson (8) 34.

SECTION 12–17: 1st, Gerry Blevins (17) 36; 2nd, Alan Close (15) 36; 3rd, Verdun Bond (13) 36.

SECTION 18+: 1st, Jonathan Kerr (19) 38; 2nd, Robert Canning (20) 38.

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 28: Alex Clarke seems to have taken a liking for the Sunday sweep. This was the second time this year that he has come out on top on a Sunday.

And it’s good to see Damian Dunne back playing again and he doesn’t seem to have lost any of his skills.

1st, Alex Clarke (13) Nett 30.5; 2nd, Damian Dunne (12) Nett 31.

MONDAY MARCH 1: This was a rewarding day’s golf for Bobby Geddis. Not only did he shoot the best score and win the 14 holes sweep but he also picked up a half share of the twos pot. John McDowell won the other half.

1st, Bobby Geddis (11) 36; 2nd, Paul Faulkner (13) 35.
