Newtownabbey’s Amanda Mogey, a former Ulster and Irish No 1, will be hoping to claim the ladies’ singles title at the three-day event to be held at the Lisburn Racquets Club.

Another local star, Zak Wilson, the current Ulster and Ireland Under-21 number one and Under-18 number one, will also be aiming to secure success in his own age categories.

But he has proved in recent times that he can also pose a threat to the senior players, having finished runner-up in the men’s singles event at the Leinster Grand Prix.
