On another day this would provide a wake up call but this proved a catalyst for the visitors who seized two quick opportunities and hit Banbridge Rangers with a quick brace.

At this stage heads dropped and communication within the home side had disappeared giving Warrenpoint the clearance to kill the game off with two further first half goals.

The second half got underway it was clear that Warrenpoint had no intention of easing up, but the renewed look of the Rangers team where an even match for the visitors.

The second half showed much more promise as the back to basics football was evident on the pitch. Warrenpoint extended their lead in the game with two well taken goals in the second half but the match rounded off in better fashion for the home side.

This was another tough lesson against a side that has evidently played together for years. Credit has to be given on the second half display, however the first half is a reminder of what will happen when a team do not work as a unit.
