Take part in new '˜Couch to 5K' programme

The next Jog Lisburn Running Club '˜Couch to 5K' programme will start on Monday 4th April 2016 at 7.00pm in Wallace Park, Lisburn.
Jog Lisburn Running Club attended Jimmys 10K in Downpatrick on Sunday 13th March. The club meet in Wallace Park on Mondays and Wednesdays, catering for all abilities. The programme is overseen by a qualified UK Athletics Coach and assisted by Leaders in Running Fitness from Jog Lisburn Running Club.

The scheme will take place over an 8 week period and will end with a graduation 5km parkrun in Wallace Park, Lisburn on 28th May.

Training sessions last approximately one-hour and take place twice a week on a Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7.00pm in Wallace Park.  

The focus of the programme is to get people healthier while at the same time making running fun and enjoyable through establishing friendships, contact with local runners and involvement in local and other parkruns throughout Northern Ireland.
