Tandragee favourites for MUSA title

THE penultimate round of the Mid-Ulster Senior Alliance was played at Tandragee Golf Club last Tuesday.

Once again, the Banbridge team fared reasonably well but it was nothing to boast about.

Ian Boyce had 35 points, Morris Phillips had 33, Brian Mulholland had 31 and Harry Burnside had 31.

That is a team score of 130 points which means that Banbridge remain in the bottom half of the league table.

With one round to go, Tandragee have an 18 points lead over Lisburn.

The final round is at Lisburn on Thursday October 7. Even with the home advantage, it is unlikely that Lisburn can catch Tandragee.
