Teams back to league action

IT’S back to league action for both Waringstown and Lurgan this weekend after their cup bowl out disappointments of last Sunday.

After Lisburn refused to switch the game from the wet Wallace Park to a playable pitch at The Lawn the villagers lost 4-3 in the dreaded bowl-out.

Their reward, if they had won, would have been a trip to North Down this Saturday in the semi-final.

In fact Waringstown were due to play the Comber side this Saturday but that has been postponed because of the cup game.

Instead they have re-arranged a league game against CSNI at Stormont.

The ball sponsor for that game is John Carlton.

Lurgan missed out on a home game against Instonians in the semi-final when they were beaten 3-2 in the bowl-out by Muckamore.

Unbeaten in the four league games they have played Lurgan will look to keep that run going away to Woodvale this Saturday.

The Belfast side have won two and lost two of the league games they have played this season.
