THANKS VERY MICH!

BALLYMENA Mini and Rascals Sections - which caters for children from age 5 through to under 12 - were delighted to welcome their neighbours Michelin ‘over the road’ to Eaton Park last week.

Sharon Mullan from Michelin made the short trip across to present Tom Wiggins, Club Community Development Officer, with drawstring kit bags for the 240 Mini and Rascals players of Ballymena Rugby Club.

Michelin have been very supportive of the Minis and Rascals for a number of years now and it is great to see local business investing in the local community. The bags will certainly cut down on the number of lost and lonely items left behind each Saturday.

The Mini Section Festival of Rugby is planned for the morning of Saturday, April 2.

This annual event is very well attended with over 900 players, coaches and officials descending on Eaton Park for a mornings Rugby and craic from all over Ulster. You are most welcome to come along, spectate and watch some very intense, entertaining and tightly contested Rugby that morning if previous years are anything to go by!

This year we are delighted to announce the attendance of teams from Ballymena, Ballymoney, Ballyclare, Coleraine, Lisburn, Lurgan, and CIYMS. We will also be hosting a team from Manchester at Under 12.

The Ulster 24 team, fresh from Ravenhill, who will be running round 24 different club pitches in 24 hours to raise money for Wooden Spoon, will also be making an appearance that morning. More details of this very worthwhile enterprise can be found at www.justgiving.com/BRFCRascalCoach
