The whole team need to look at themselves after that display

WHAT can I say? Terrible.

There was such a lack of enthusiasm, effort and energy in our performance. I'm surprised the scoreline stayed so low.

Cliftonville were fantastic and if I was a betting man, I would tip them to win the league as they are on some form and have been winning consistently.

Our performance was a joke. I felt there was a poor team selection to start with and then nobody seemed to want to win the ball, never mind the match. Marty and the whole team really need to look at themselves after this one. I thought beating the Welders in the Cup would have been a confidence booster but it seem that it wasn't that case. It looks like the recent break didn't help us either because some of our players looked wrecked on Saturday.

The question is how do we move on from here. Andrew Plummer has been performing well the past while. Now I'm not a Plummer fan, I prefer Tuda Murphy, but Plummer has done well and wasn't at fault on Saturday.

Hugh Davey has started well so should keep his place as well as young Mark Haughey. I really hope Marty can convince Albert Watson to join us, as has been rumoured, because our centre backs need a kick up the backside.

Midfield. Where do you start? Drop Stuart King. No effort and can't even get the ball past the first defender from a corner or set piece. Drop Conor Walsh. He hasn't been good enough lately. Marty, please stop playing Ryan Harpur out right because he is so much better in the middle. Carvill, Willo, Harpur and Molloy for the midfield.

Up front, I'd have Costello & Grant. Both need goals to boost confidence. I have a lot of faith in Costello and I think that he is a quality player. I just think he needs a confidence boost.

Finally, as regards to the trip to Ballymena at the weekend, they haven't been performing well either so this could be the place to kick start our season again. I'm hopeful of a sneaky win. 1-0 would be brilliant.
