Third title for Shane

DRUMGOR’S Shane Lennon lived up to his favourite’s tag by winning the Craigavon and District Darts League individual title for the third time.

He defeated Eire Og’s Michael Grady 5-2 in a high quality final last Thursday night.

Both players held their throw in the first four legs but it was Lennon who pulled away winning the last three legs in 16,19 and 18 darts to finish with an average of 25 per dart.

Michael Grady had earlier fought back from 3-1 down to beat Mick Millar 4-3 in the semi-final and can be very proud on leaving his mark on the league in what is his first year throwing.

The other beaten semi finalist was Anthony Crewe who lost out 4-2 .

Results: quarter-finals - Paul White 2-3 Anthony Crewe; Shane Lennon 3-2 Brian McCavigan; Michael Grady 3-0 Marty Craig ; Sam Frazer 2-3 Mick Millar

Semi-finals - Michael Grady 4-3 Mick Millar; Anthony Crewe 2-4 Shane Lennon

Final - Shane Lennon 5-2 Michael Grady.
