Three points are essential for Town this weekend

BANBRIDGE Town need to start picking up points to get out of their battle against the drop - and they have a tough battle on their hands on Saturday if they want to do that.

Ards come to Crystal Park on Saturday, one of the Town’s bogey teams over recent years and Colin Malone will be wary of that ahead of the kick off.

Malone should have a full compliment of players to choose from going into the game, while Ards play Carrick Rangers tonight and will be hoping to come out of that game unscathed before the weekend’s fixture.

“I’m confident but it will be a big ask for us,” said Town chairman Andrew Cully.

“They are a difficult side for us and have proved to be a tough team for us to beat over recent years. They have several ex-Irish League players who add a bit of quality to their team.

“We need to get the points on board as soon as possible as we have a number of big games coming up - but when you’re at the wrong end at the table they are all big games.

“We’ve got to start taking our chances when they come to us and getting results on the board.”

Saturday’s game kicks off at 3pm.
