Titanic showdown

THE Armoy Motorcycle Road Racing Club (AMRRC) is pleased to announce that RiverRidge Recycling is the title sponsor of the Armoy Road Races.

The Ringsend based firm is one of the leading waste management companies in the North West who provide a full range of waste management services.

Bill Kennedy, Clerk of the Course at AMRRC, said: “We are delighted to have RiverRidge Recycling on board with us this year. This is the second year that the management team of this company has sponsored us – carrying on from the previous owners of Coleraine Skip Hire & Recycling.

“It’s great to see a company local to the circuit continue their involvement in the sport and support of the race.

“We are now well into the planning stages for this year’s Race of the Legends and have already received interest from competitors, traders and spectators. Although it will be hard to beat Bike Week 2011, I am confident that we can build on its success and the RiverRidge Recycling ‘Race of the Legends’ is shaping up to be an even greater event,” he said.

RiverRidge Recycling firmly believes in supporting the local community and sponsoring local events and their dedication to environmental and community issues are interwoven into the company’s ethos.

Brett Ross, Managing Director of RiverRidge Recycling, said; “This is not the first year that RiverRidge Recycling has been involved with road racing. The new management team has been in existence some eighteen months and we are absolutely thrilled that we are title sponsor for 2012.

“We have now completely rebranded to RiverRidge Recycling and I have made a commitment to the Armoy Road Races to give them the sponsorship they need to put on a fantastic spectacle this July.

“Last year I had the opportunity to be part of this local event and the atmosphere on race day was superb – so I couldn’t wait for the opportunity to get involved again and support one of the major events in the road racing calendar which has such great history associated with it.”

“All of us at RiverRidge Recycling are very much looking forward to Bike Week this July - there’s nothing quite like the Race of the Legends,” he added.

Bike Week 2012 is from 22nd – 28th July. For more information visit www.amrrc.com.
