Both these sides are still in contention for the title with ten points, the home side got a good result at Beechgrove last week where the talented David Rankin was back to form with the bat.

The Rectory side were disappointed to go out of the Irish Senior Cup and must now concentrate in maintaining their league challenge, the talent is there with Gary Neely bowling as quick as ever.

Prediction: Glendermott.

Brigade v Donemana

In previous seasons this would have been the match of the day but how things have changed. The home side have still the Senior cup final to look forward to and also the Club Turf semi final but their league hopes look to have ended.

The visitors are having one of their poorest seasons for many years, although they have some talented youngsters coming through, their big players have not been performing, the home side will be missing a couple of players so the visitors might win.

Prediction: Donemana.

What a relief for Andy Christies side to get that elusive first league win last week, that will have given them a lot of confidence and they must now build on that. Christopher Pierce was in superb form with the bat in that win.

The Bannsiders put up a good show in their defeat by Railway Union but that was their fifth defeat in a row, the runs have dried up for some of their big players and they must get back on track.

Prediction: Eglinton.

Fox Lodge v Limavady

Undoubtedly the match of the day, Brian Allen’s side are on fire with all of their players at the top of their game, Johnny Robinson has shown what an excellent player he is with both bat and ball all season, they have a great mix of both youth and experience and certainly deserve to win something this season.

The Roesiders were dealt a massive blow with the damage to their square which looks now that they won’t play at home this season so it would be a tremendous achievement if they were to retain the title.

Prediction: Fox Lodge.

Prediction: Fox Lodge.

Strabane v St Johnston

The home side are another team still very much in contention for the title, they are playing some excellent cricket especially in recent games, they look the complete team and will be even stronger with the return of opening bowlers Phil Eaglestone and Martin Deans.

The Donegal men have to be really worried after that demoralising defeat at home to Eglinton which makes them strong favourites to return to Section Two, their decision not to strengthen has failed.
