The visitors came out all guns blazing in the second session and before long they were level at 2-2.

The loyal home supporters were in for an exciting but nerve-wracking second half as they watched the visitors edge 3-2 ahead.

The Ballymena forwards continued to put the back four of Scott, Reeve, Gould and Dougan through their paces with Stephanie Dougan’s efforts earning her Player of the Match. However, Mossley’s unbeaten league run was uppermost in their mind and in what was a superb team performance, Axon netted twice more to give her a hat-trick and bring the final score to Mossley 4, Ballymena 3.
