Tough draw

ARMAGH Harps have drawn the short straw in the first round of this year’s Armagh Senior Championship.

They have been pitted against reigning All-Ireland club champions Crossmaglen Rangers.

The Harps played the Rangers last season as well and suffered a heavy defeat and there is nothing to suggest that the result will be any diffrent this time around alhough the city side have some good minor players coming through.

In the Intermediate series Wolfe Tones, Mullaghbawn and St Paul’s have all received byes to the quarter-finals.

St Peter’s have been handed a real tough opener aqgainst Shane O’Neill’s.

Tir na nOg, who would be one of the fancied teams, will play Madden and Eire Og who won last season’s junior title will play Silverbridge who defeated St Peter’s last season after a replay.
