After last weekend’s break Town were keen to recover from their midweek loss to Bangor’s Gold Coast rivals Ards.

For the visitors it gave them a chance to impress their new manager, Frankie Wilson, who was appointed in the last week following the resignation of Colin McCurdy. Wilson watched from pitchside while Sam McKee took charge from the dug-out.

Bangor started brightly with Dom Melly lashing home an unstoppable shot from 20 yards into the top corner with Town goalkeeper Gareth Buchanan well beaten to give the Seasiders an early lead.

Rory Hamill and Barry Bloomer ruled midfield for the visitors and it was no surprise when the latter planted a header into the net following a corner after 28 minutes.

Banbridge pulled a goal back 10 minutes later when an unmarked Paul Evans headed in a corner at the back post past a helpless Graeme McKibben.

Town suddenly remembered they were in a game and they showed tremendous fighting qualities in the second half to equalise in the 69th minute through Mark Teggart who cleverly shot home after racing on to a defence splitting pass from Town's man-of-the match Timmy Grant.

Town, now in the ascendency, saw Bangor amazingly hanging on at the finish but they thoroughly deserved their point by virtue of a tremendous second half performance.
