Training resumes for Clann na Banna

CLUB news from Clann na Banna:

U8/10: Training will continue at Havelock Park at 11.30 -1.00pm on Sundays until March 28. There will be no training on Easter Sunday.

Training will then switch to Thursdays 6.30-8pm at Clann na Banna pitch until season end. The 2 weekly fee will run only when at Havelock Park to cover pitch hire. Monies left over will be used to

buy some new basic equipment.

GAMES AND TOURNAMENTS: There is no structured league for U8/10 age group. It is intended that friendly games will be arranged with other local clubs and teams entered for one-day tournaments where possible.

CHILD WELFARE: Clann na Banna are presently organising child protection courses for coaches and underage helpers involved in all teams. It is hoped that this will be done as soon as possible. Any parents with particular concerns or requiring further information should contact team coaches

or club secretary, Gavin Campbell.

MEMBERSHIP: Child membership for the year costs 25. Contact team coaches for forms. Family discounts are available. Paid membership entitles holders to a discount at Shoefair Sports on production of membership card.

U12’s: Training for under 12s is at Cottage Park. 11.00am-12.00pm. Jimmy Hill is managing the 12s again this year and would like to encourage as many U12s from the area to get involved, both boys and girls.

U14s: Managed by Paddy Campbell. First league game we meet Tullylish. Sunday 21st March 11.30am Venue: Cottage Park. Training: 6-7pm on Monday and Thursday. New players always welcome.

U16s: Under the new management of Eamon Fitzsimmons training is now on a Monday and Thursday 6.30-7.30pm. New players are more than welcome.

Minors: Training Monday and Wednesday 7pm. Managed by Ruairi Gillen, the lads are training hard for the new season and new players are always welcome.

Premier Reserves: Well done to the lads for a convincing win over St. John’s. Pending result from Ballymartin match.

Seniors: Training on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7pm. All players are expected to attend.

Club Merchandise: The club is still taking orders for the new club gear which can be viewed online at the Clann na Banna website. All details and order forms are available there, as well as contact numbers and email for any queries.

The club appreciates the U8s, 10s, and 12s are only back to training and their parents may not have had a chance to consider buying the new club merchandise but strongly encourages everybody to purchase some of the items and support your club.
