Trials atthe Depot

Anyone interested in darts should attend these two trials for the opportunity to make the county darts team this coming season after such a successful and enjoyable first season last year.

The team last year had a tremendous overall year and the structures are in place more now for another successful season both for home and away games and the opportunity to throw in other darts competitions across Northern Ireland and possibly beyond.

There will be the first trial of two for the new team to be selected and trial one will be held on Sunday, August 19 in the Depot, Limavady.

Registration of players in the Depot Limavady on the Sunday is from 12.30pm to 1.45pm and the trial matches will start around 2pm sharp.

There will be a entrance fee of only £5 per player on the day and this will guarantee each player 6 matches of 5 x 501 legs of darts against six different opponents for an overall average at each days trial. Each trial will ensure all darts players who come along on the day will get a fair share of games and the chance to put forward a good average to make the county darts squad of players.

This is an appeal for any ex darts players or current darts players from all darts leagues or anyone generally interested in throwing darts for their county due to its popularity in the past.

Players are more than welcome from Londonderry, Limavady, Dungiven, Claudy, Feeney, Eglinton, Ballykelly, Greysteel and all other surrounding areas.

The second darts trial will then take place on Saturday 1st September in Murphys Bar, Dungiven and further information will follow.
