TRIATHLON: SPAR sponsor local Causeway Coast Triathlon

Top competitors from around the Island of Ireland and further afield will take part in the SPAR Causeway Coast Triathlon, which is organised and hosted by the Triangle Triathlon Club based in Coleraine.

Participants must complete a 1.5km swim in the sea before changing to the challenging 40km cycle course and finishing with a gruelling 10km run.

Last year had it all, sun, surf, basking sharks in the water and a sprint finish for first place so it will be hard to beat but we at the Triangle Triathlon Club are committed to doing so.

“Portrush and the surrounding area provides an ideal location with its stunning beaches and testing cycling and running terrain which will push the athletes to their absolute limit and beyond!”

The triathlon takes place on Sunday June 19th at 9am, at the East Strand in Portrush where local residents and holiday makers will be able to cheer on the athletes as they bid for glory.
