Mrs Kerr, a terriffic supporter of North West cricket at all levels, said she was happy that the Bob Kerr Trust Fund was able to support the players and she sent her best wishes to the entire squad ahead of the tournament.

"I am very pleased that the Bob Kerr Memorial Fund - which I set up in memory of my husband - is supporting three young cricketers from the North West who have been selected to play for Ireland in the Under 19 World Cup in New Zealand in January. I wish the team every success."
