To their credit the visitors never gave up and scored a consolation try at the end to make the scoreline 24 points to 5 in Dalriada’s favour. This was an impressive win for the B team and underlines the strength in depth which exists at U13 level in Dalriada.

Minutes later some excellent handling by the Dalriada backs allowed centre Ross Fallows the space to outpace the defence for a good try which Connor Creith converted. Just before halftime Connor kicked a single penalty to make the score 17 – 0.

The home team played even better in the second half and went further ahead when Fallows chased a loose kick and gathered skilfully to beat the defence and score a fine individual try. This score seemed to dishearten the visitors and minutes later Dalriada went further ahead when scrum half Matthew Kennedy make an incisive break to score a try in the corner.
