Two wins for U9s

MONEYSLANE had their U9s in mid-week action and played Brookvale in the league.

Jordan Davis hit the post early in the game and Joshua Crawford also rattled the woodwork. Max Wilson and Ethan Banks were working openings in midfield and it was a one two from the midfield slotting in Davis with a killer pass and they finished off well to end the half with Slane going in ahead at the break.

Slane were under some pressure at the start of the second half but Michael Clydesdale and Steven Moorhead were solid in defence protecting Mark Jardine in the Slane nets. Again the woodwork came to the rescue when Banks hammered his shot in but it bounced back of the post.

Slane doubled their lead when Crawford rounded his marker and fired home from close range to give Slane all three points at the final whistle.

Best for Slane was Jordan Davis and Max Wilson.

Barcroft 0

Slane played Barcroft in their second game of the evening and got to grips with this game early on and

They went into the break with a 3-0 half time lead with goals from Davis, Banks and Crawford.

Slane were on top of this game and pushed forward looking for more goals. Moorhead hit just wide and Wilson launched in a free kick that sailed into the back of the net for 4-0.

Clydesdale and Jardine had little to do at the back and Davis hit his second of the game with a well drilled shot into the net.

Best in this game was Jordan Davis.
