U15s and U14s both held by plucky Bangor Grammar

The Banbridge Academy U15 side remain undefeated despite a disappointing 0-0 draw away to Bangor.

They thought they had taken the lead but Kelvin Nash’s drag-flick was saved well by the keeper.

Bangor got a chance five minutes from the end and if it wasn’t for a great save from Scott Dale, Banbridge would have been behind.

The second half started badly for Bann when a mistake led to a one on one for Bangor, which they scored to make it 2-2.

Both teams were desperate to take the lead and it was the Bangor side that clinched it first with a well set up reflection that put the Banbridge boys under pressure.

Finally a short corner was won by Bann and they were going to take full advantage of it. A shot by Lockhart was saved by the keeper but Lewis Bingham was there at the backpost to make sure the ball hit the backboard.
