They were caught out with a simple ball over the top and Alastair Forsyth nipped in to slot wide of the advancing stand in keeper Craig Rodgers.

Shilliday and Galloway were solid at the back with Rebecca Ervine and Porter playing well at left and right back. Blakely slipped the ball wide to Scott who raced up the line and fired across the box where Boyce hit at the keeper.

With 10 minutes of the half remaining Slane again were caught out with a ball over the top and the Valley striker nipped in to convert.

Slane came out well in the second half and pushed the home side deep into their own half. Blakely and Maginess linked up with Boyd who rounded his marker and fired just over.

Slane upped the tempo of the game and used the flanks to great effect. Scott was a real menace for the left back and he was firing over some telling crosses. Maginess picked out Dickson with a good pass and he fired home for a great goal.

Philip Ervine played the ball up the line to Boyd who whipped in the cross and Boyce clipped it just wide.

Boyd again was the provider and Blakely caught it at the back post but it was narrowly wide of the up right.

Valley was dangerous on the break but Rodgers was coming off his line well to clear the danger. Kinley played it up the line to Dickson who fired it cross field to Scott but his effort went high and wide.
