U17’s get back to action

Lisburn U17’s took to the field for the first time this season away to a formidable Ballynahinch team last weekend.

Some quick forward work from the Lisburn pack allowed Ethan Green to surge over for the opening try. Unfortunately a lapse in defence meant the teams went in at half time 5 – 5. Lisburn came out in the second half with the intention to play with ball in hand. However, lapses in concentration along with a lack of match fitness proved to be their undoing as Hinch raced into a 27-5 point lead. Lisburn continued to press until the final whistle with Jack Wilkes touching down under the posts.

Training for Lisburn U17’s, 15’s & 13’s continues every Monday and Wednesday night at 6.30pm, any new players wishing to join are more than welcome to come along.
