U17s hold awards day

MONEYSLANE'S U17s had their awards day on Saturday May 1.

The lads went out for a day’s clay pigeon shooting with Aaron Smyth. It was a very enjoyable day with some crack marksmen on show. David Henry just edged out Matthew Kerr by one bird.

The awards for the season were as follows: Managers Player of the Year was Matthew McKnight. Players Player of the Year was David Henry. Top Goal Scorer was Johnny Adair. Most Improved/Consistent was William Martin. Goal of the season was Matthew Kernaghan for his wonder strike against Ballinamallard in the Mid-Ulster Cup.

The club would like to thank Aaron for his hospitality on the day. Also thanks to Dean and Lee for helping get the lads sorted with some valuable tips.

A big thank you also to Brian and Matthew Ervine for supplying some much needed burgers and hotdogs. Finally thanks to the lads for all their hard word over the last year and half.
