Ulster Hockey Festival details

This weekend’s Anderson Cup will comprise of the ten Premier League teams (Season 2014/2015) and the top six finishers in Senior League One (Season 2013/2014).

The sixteen teams will compete in four groups of four teams, with the group stages being held on Friday evening at Garvey and Saturday in Banbridge. The winners of each group progress to the femi-finals and the runner-up in each group play in the Plate competition.

Banbridge begin their campaign at 2pm on Saturday, playing Kilkeel and Newry in successive matches. They then take on Queens at 4.55pm. The men’s semi-final and final are at 1.55pm and 2.30pm on Sunday.

Eight Premiership teams will compete in the Ladies section for the McCausland, Light & Rankin Cup.

The clubhouse at Banbridge will be open during the tournament with hot food and refreshments available from the kitchen and bar and the club would encourage members and friends to come down to Havelock and support the team in their first competitive games of the season.
