The Banbridge Academy U14’s faced Cookstown this Saturday which started as a challenging game with no side creating any clear cut chances and the ball getting turned over very often.

The game soon livened up when Ryan Jones came on after about 15 minutes who made a great run into the circle and arrived on the ball who cooly slotted the ball past the Cookstown keeper giving him no chance.

Two minutes after that a perfectly weighted through ball from Harry Lockhart found Ryan Jones who fired the ball past the keeper first time for a fantastic second for the right-winger.

Jones completed his hat-trick one minute later after a goal-line scrap fell to him and pushed the ball into the empty net.

The half ended 3-0 to Banbridge Academy who came out with confidence in the second half.

Around five minutes into the second half a through ball from Philip Campbell found Jones who slotted the ball home for a fantastic four for the Banbridge Academy player.

This ended a feisty affair and a great result for the Mr. Walker’s side.
