It’s two wins on the trot for the Under-12 Community Team as they beat Tobermore 4-0 on Saturday.

Coleraine dominated the opening 20 minutes and had a goal chalked off for a push on a Tobermore player. But they didn’t have to wait long for the opener as Adam Mackey’s long throw found Connor Lundy who scored for the second week in a row.

The second half continued in the same vein and Coleraine doubled their lead as Corey McKeary rifled in from Mackey’s corner.

With 15 minutes to go Coleraine skipper Alan Dunn released McKeary with a great through ball and the striker coolly slotted home. Just before the end the Bannsiders made it 4-0 as a poor kick out from the Tobermore keeper was punished by Alan Dunn.

Under-13’s

An excellent start to the game saw Coleraine dominate early on and they took the lead on 15 minutes with a belter from Curtis Rodgers.

However on 22 minutes a mix up at the back gifted the equaliser to Dungoyne and just before the break the Coleraine defence were caught out twice with long balls to give Dungoyne a 3-1 lead at half time.

Dungoyne stepped up a gear in the second half and again punished Coleraine with two goals before wrapping up the scoring with a header to leave the final score 6-1.

The Under-13’s coaches were pleased with the players’ efforts but warned against conceding goals from high balls into the box.
